How does ELVT structure training for hypertrophy?
ELVT uses science-based training phases (mesocycles) to help you build muscle effectively. It automatically adjusts your training load over time using key volume landmarks, such as your minimum effective and maximum adaptive training volumes, to promote consistent progress and recovery.
Is my workout data stored online?
No, your workout data is stored offline on your device by default. You have full control over your data. If you want to keep a backup in the cloud, you can opt in to store it securely in your personal cloud storage.
Does the app work offline?
Yes, ELVT works completely offline. All your training plans and logs are stored on your device. An internet connection is only needed for backup or error reporting.
Does ELVT have ads?
Yes, the free version displays non-personalized ads via Google AdMob. These help support app development. No personal tracking is used.
Can I customize my training plan?
Absolutely. You can adjust exercises, volume, frequency, and intensity to fit your personal training style while still following evidence-based hypertrophy principles.
What if I run into a bug or crash?

What are mesocycles, microcycles, and RIR—and how does ELVT use them?
ELVT structures your training using core periodization concepts:
- A mesocycle is a multi-week training phase (typically 4–6 weeks) focused on progressive overload and adaptation.
A microcycle is a shorter unit (usually 1 week) that fits within a mesocycle and defines your weekly training plan.
RIR (Reps in Reserve) is a method to manage training intensity by estimating how many reps you have left before failure—helping you train hard without overdoing it.
